Another great shell enhancement is FileBox eXtender (http://www.hyperionics.com/files/index.asp).

It 'hooks' the activated window and allows you to quickly save files to far-away folders...

SCENARIO: you have various folders minimized at your taskbar. One of these folders is located at: "E:\This folder\has many\subdirectories\\and is\on another\hard drive\"
You decide to save a file from your web browser. The "open/save" dialog pops up. You click anywhere on that (already opened) far-away folder "hard drive", and the "open/save" dialog immediately changes-navigates to that folder. It's productivity heaven !! One of the first things I install on a new Windows OS Setup.

It is a pity that audioshell's columns don't work in detailed view from vista onwards. I have tweaked the latest xplorer² which now does all the custom column handers for vista and windows 7, see http://zabkat.com/blog/07Feb10-column-handlers-revived.htm
